Restore factory settings

I, I've just bought a second hand iPad and would like to restore the factory settings. I have followed the instructions by going into settings and pressing the general tab but the reset tab is not there. Can anyone help? Thanks

You should hook up to iTunes and you'll be given the option to restore to factory settings (or something like that). This way you'll be doing a complete wipe of the iPad and that will bring it back to "out of the box."
