Hello,
I have a flashcard app that had over 400 questions on it. They released an update that sounded great, but it wiped out all of my flashcards. I see the old versions in iTunes but I cannot figure out how to get it onto my iPad. I deleted the updated version so it didn't overwrite the the old version in iTunes when synching, but I cannot figure out how to get the old one back on my iPad. Alternatively if there is a way to restore from a prior state that will work. The latest iCloud backup happened after the app was updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a huge test in a week and all of my notes are gone. The app is ISRS.

Thanks in advance-
Donna

Restore your device to a backup which you made before installing the newer version app.

To be on the safe side, before you connect that iPad, go to "Edit > Preferences > Devices" in iTunes and ensure the box labeled "Prevent [iDevices] from syncing automatically" has a check mark in it. This will prevent your iPad and iTunes from doing any syncing (or backing up) before you get that old app back.

With your iPad connected to iTunes, scroll through the apps list on the App tab until you find that particular app. It should have no check mark next to it. Put a check mark in the box and then select the Apply button on the bottom right of the App tab. iTunes should then load that older app from iTunes onto your iPad.

If that didn't work or if your data did not come over with the old app, then you will have to do as suggested: restore from backup. This is, of course, assuming you have saved a backup elsewhere (iTunes writes over backups and keeps only the most recent).

This is all I can think of to do. Good luck with this. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
