Retrieving music from my ps3 or black berry 9300

I was trying to hook up my ipad 4 to playstation 3 via USB and it didn't work I was wondering is there any other way I could do this to retrieve music and photos

You can connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and transfer the photos to your computer.
