screen jumping ipad2

My ipad2 doesn't stay on long enough to open any browser/apps.
It keeps jumping from home screen to the apple logo then blank screen,and its like its on a loop.
Please help.

Hopefully one of these will help:

Restart your iPad - turn it off and on again

Reset it - this won't remove data or settings: press and hold Home and Power button until you see the Apple logo. Let go of both, the iPad will power up on it's own.

Next thing to try: restore it using iTunes.
Make sure iTunes on your computer is up to date. Backup your iPad. Then restore it: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252

It doesn't let me turn off it just bounces from screen to screen every few seconds.

Tried to do the power button solution but no joy.
Just found out this came about after taking a photo.
