Screen went black

Hello can someone help me my ipad 2 screen went black and it wont let me restore it on iTunes

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You haven't run out of battery charge have you?

If not, do a reset of your iPad and this should fix it

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It may take 20 to 30 seconds of holding these buttons in so be patient......your iPad should then start.

One possibility left would be to place your iPad into recovery mode and then restore it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
