Security and iPad 2

I would like to ask whether it is safe enough to use online banking in iPad 2, or would it be better if we can select our own security software to add an extra security to our own peace of mind?
Any advise?

Your Internet connection, not your iPad, is what you should worry about. Is your clients' connection secure?

Separately, if I saw a security company asking on a public forum -- full of random end users -- for security advice, I would never use or trust its services.
