Security when using Dropbox on IPad

Hi there,
I am a new user of IPad and also of this forum. I would like to use Dropbox to bring documents from the office on travels. My employer is reluctant as he sees it as a security issue that documents are stored on the web. Anyone with some useful comments that I can bring along to justify my use?

A lot of people with this concern will encrypt their dropbox folder (some versions of Windows 7 have this built in, and there is this truecrypt program I have heard about). I'm not sure how that works with the iPad, though. I don't worry about security as I don't think anything I'm doing needs security, but that may not be true for everyone and even myself, depending on what I'm doing.

Thanks for your input! I will check out the possibility of encrypting the folder. If anyone has ideas on how this may work with the IPad, please let me know.

Our company uses dropbox heavily with PDF Expert and we have done a ton of research.

Dropbox is very secure, and uses an SSL connection and encryption.

he iPad can not encrypt it's own data before sending it out at least not unless the software/app has it built in and we haven't found that. Just he Dropbox connection and storage is protected.

Yes it can encrypt stuff it puts onto dropbox. Try Datalocker. Groundbreaking app.
