Set up problems

My first post.

I just got a new iPad3, wi fi only, and a couple of questions.

First should I disable location services, my feeling is yes since no 3 or 4 g service.

Second, in setup it shows my home wi fi network in choose a network, a locked lock icon to the right and signal strength ( I think) then a blue right arrow, but goes no further than that.


Any suggestions how to proceed?

The lock icon just indicated password protected network, i think.

You need a password, that is what the lock is for. Without it you can't access that wifi network

No need to disable location. It's very handy in many apps

Just be logical with location services in apps. Apps like maps, camera, or any app where it makes sense to have it know your location. There is no reason why angry birds needs your location. If you have them all turned on it will kill your battery faster.
