Sharing iTunes Accounts

Hello,


I have a friend who recently got an iPhone. She does NOT have her own iTunes account. Currently, shares an account with her daughter. Every time she downloads an app, her daughter gets the bill and my friend pays her back. I've got two questions.

1. How does she get her own account? Does she do it the regular way and just sign up for an iTunes account?

2. And what happens to the apps that she downloaded on the shared account? Does she get to keep those or does she have to purchase them again?.

Yes, she will have to either repurchase them or update them using the other account.
