Give "Apprevels" a try if you have not had success with iTunes in getting your PC-stored movies (avi, mp4,mov files) onto your ipad mini. Works like a charm!

Forget Apprevels! When I tried to use it again - it crashes every time I try to "open" a file. The program just closes down and disappears from the screen. I even reinstalled both iTunes and Apprevels. Still no go! Very frustrating. I've gone back to using DropBox. It's slower, but it doesn't crash.
[Added 4/18/14] - MyFileExplorerPro does a very good job of downloading videos and at nice fast speed too. If anyone wants to try this and needs some help with "how to" just let me know.
