Well this is interesting. Kind of like desktop publishing 101. Just looking for a way to move my contacts in from an android or from yahoo. I'll get started with the search now. If you recognize my handle then you know I've been around before.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Welcome.

If you have an android, you probably have your contacts in GMail. If that is the case just set your Google account up on the iPad as an Exchange account. Contacts will automatically sync. If you follow the last link in the instructions you can also set up multiple Google calendars to sync. I'm afraid it picks the colors for you though, and whatever does the picking is color blind to boot.

I am trying to get to my Yahoo contacts. My android didn't have any problem getting to the yahoo. The system settings just don't mention contacts on the yahoo side. I suppose I will have to go to yahoo and see I'd I can get a DAV file of some sort. It would be nice to get the contacts to gmail too, so I may look into that. Thanks for the attempt.
