Slack on an iPad Pro

Hi all,

I’m trying to figure out how to set the enter key preference on my iPad. I DON’T
want it to send when I press Enter/Return, i just want it to go to the next line. Slack gives the instructions below, but on the iPad, there is no “When writing a message, press Enter to” option under Advanced. Could someone advise? Thanks!

Choose your Enter key preference​

1. From your desktop, click your profile picture in the top right.
2. Select Preferences from the menu.
3. Choose Advanced.
4. Under When writing a message, press Enter to, select your preference.

I have no idea what Slack is, but have you tried SHIFT-ENTER ?

It‘s quite possible that this feature doesn‘t exist in the iPad app. The instructions you posted are for computers, not for the iPad itself. Sometimes features for an app for the iPad are different from desktop versions, there are limitations.
