Smart Cover and Auto Unlock

My Air will wake up to the lock screen when I open the Smart Cover. I could swear it used to wake up to the screen I had open when I closed the cover but maybe I remember incorrectly.

Has there been a change? Any way to go back to the old way?

Settings.....general....pass code lock......off

Check the timing for both the Auto-Lock and Passcode Lock. If either one times out before you open the cover you'll go to the Lock Screen. If the Passcode Lock is set you'll also have to enter the passcode.
