This morning a strange thing happened. Songs stop playing after about 30 seconds on both the music app and the Google streamer...got it to continue by using that Skype-up-from-the-bottom control thingy, but I wonder if I may have caught a bug or something? My iPads been working flawlessly otherwise (save for the keyboard dropping on me in certain websites' like this one)

Hello and welcome to the forum! :) Please provide your problematic iPad's model and the iOS version installed (assume 8.2 from the ending of your post).

For starters and if not already done, 'Reset' your device, i.e. hold down the ON-OFF & HOME buttons together until the Apple logo appears, release both and let the iPad reboot; retry you music app - Dave

It could be a bandwidth problem with your WiFi connection. Have you changed anything in the way your internet connection is used? Have you started using your internet connection with any additional devices? If you have a speed test app on your iPad, check your internet connection to see exactly what the download and upload speeds are.

Thanks. I'm using iPad 4th u a ten inch I guess, 8.2 iOS.

The reset helped with the keyboard slowing down, I would type and have to wait for the thing to catch up.

I got the 'memory & disk' app to clear the cache.

No I haven't changed anything really and no new devices that I know of.

What's the best speed test app? Free one...lol

Thanks for the tips guys hope they can help someone else out too.

So the 'Reset' did not help w/ the song issue? Are these songs on your iPad, such as MP3 files, or only songs you are trying to stream? If you have music on you device, do the songs play w/o stopping? Does using headphones make a difference?

Not sure what you mean my the 'memory & disk' app - you'll have to be more specific?

Many of us here use the website Speedtest - go to the App Store, they offer a free app that can be used on your iDevices to check DL & UP speeds. Dave :)

I used to have an app set for notification, and whenever it did so my music or other audio would pause. I never did figure out exactly what app was doing it.

Only happened with my bluetooth headphones, and hasn't happened for a long time. Then again, I haven't used those headphones for a long timer either, and trimmed my notification settings somewhere along the line as well.
