Sony TDM-IP1 Digital Media Port iPod Dock

I recently got an iPad2. I want to be able to connect it to my Sony TDM-IP1 Digital Media Port iPod Dock. If you are not familiar with this dock, info can be found here: <unable to post a link> but check at Amazon by searching. First of all, does anybody know if this will work for the iPad and second, is it safe to connect my iPad directly to the dock? I am also wondering if there is a cable to go from a male 30 pin connector to a female 30 pin connector? Thanks for any support.
