Sorting apps

I have loads of apps, and have them in folders according to their subject, how do most of you 'file' your apps on the home screen, in folders or just as they come?

I try to file mine according to function. For example, I have folders like productivity, utilities, entertainment, games, drawing, photography, etc.

Most-used apps on page 1, apps not used often but need to be handy on page 2, everything else in folders on page 3. Next week, I might have a completely different plan...
