With the CES show starting in Las Vegas today, get ready for lots of weird and wonderful gadgets for your iOS devices to start appearing as different developers and inventors show off their wares to press and public at the exhibition. A story on CultofMac today reminds us of one really cute little gadget that actually showed up at last year’s CES as a prototype, but which is now a fully realized product and available to order either from Amazon or Sphero’s website for $129. Basically, Sphero is a robotic ball that works via Bluetooth, and you control it using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Tilt, touch or swing your device and engage in a mixed reality experience as you use the various game apps that come with Sphero to play both in the virtual and real worlds. You can even use your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to change Sphero’s colour. Sphero has a “drive time†of more than 60 minutes at full speed, and a charge time of approximately 180 minutes.
