After updating cydia, my ipad 1 crashed. I can't restore, reboot or update. please help. My battery will not recharge. I'm on 5.0.1

Try a hard reset. Hold home and sleep until you see the apple

If your battery does not recharge try another charging option. Then rejailbreak it with the appropiate software. (which program did you use for your ipad 1?)

If you put your device into DFU Mode and then leave it connected to the wall charger it will fully charge the battery. You can then exit DFU mode by holding both buttons for 10 seconds, release them, then press power for a moment.

If the device still will not fully boot, you must probably restore it and re-jailbreak.
