iDownload Blog reports that Variety has revealed that yet another Steve Jobs movie is in the works, along with the movie that is currently being filmed based around Walter Isaacson’s biography of the late Apple co-founder.

Unlike the Isaacson project, the newly announced film is a 2-hour documentary that delves into the impact of Steve Jobs’s work on the world, as well as his contribution to the world of computers and technology.

Entitled Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, the movie is billed as a “provocative and sometimes startling re-evaluation of the legacy of an icon.”

The documentary is being directed byAlex Gibney and is being made with CNN Films as partners. It sounds like the movie is in safe hands, as Gibney is an Oscar winner, having won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for his 2007 documentary Taxi to the Dark Side, which investigated the U.S. government’s torture policy.

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine will have a world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, which runs from March 17-22.
