hey all how can I watch AVI files on my ipad 2 which is located on a local server


I have both FTP and samba access to files

I use an app called Air Video. App is installed on iPad and free server software on computer. Works a treat.

I can recommend OPlayerHD and AVPlayerHD - plays files directly from NAS and network shares, and most popular formats without having to encode on the fly like AirVideo. There are plenty of others in the App Store as well.
