Stuck in backup?

Hi! Another newbie with a question please. Am trying to go to 5. something and just seem to stall out in backup. While I understand it will take a while, it's been over an hour or so and the place where the green progress line should be is still empty. Task manager says its still running. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Eastcoastbaby...welcome to the forum! I guess I'm the 'someone' coming along to help you...as proffered by leelai. And I'm going to refer you to this thread. Click it and read it! I was not the original poster but I followed up on it with my own experiences and acute predilection for verbiage. I hope this information helps you. Another moderator 'richsadams' also put a sticky in the OS section of the forum giving tips on installing OS5.
