Suggestion sought: 1st person space/flight game

Anyone know if there is a decent 1st person cockpit space game out there? Anything like that game they show in the Xoom commercial?

I just finished Dead Space, and would like another 1st person shoot, some flight simulator type game, preferably space.

Also, what do what's the concensus on race games?
