Symbol has appeared on my iPad-HELP

I was listening to my local radio station through tunein radio app when I was using my running machine and that was great but when I switched it off, an arrow head appeared by where it shows you the battery life and percentage and it is still there. Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it.

I'm not familiar with this app, but the arrow shows that something is playing.

If you open up your multitask bar and close the app, the arrow should go away.

Where is the multi task bar for me to do that. Sorry just really getting to grips still with my iPad lol

Here you can see the arrow on my screen, because I'm playing a YouTube video in the background. In the case of YouTube and Music, the arrow will disappear when the sound output is stopped, but your app may operate differently.

Look at the two pictures above. To see the multitask bar, either do a four finger swipe up the screen, or double press your home button. Touch the pictures in my post to see them full screen.

There is nothing open on my task bar and the arrow head is not the symbol like play button on the DVD remote control is is small, on the slant and looks like a jet plane shape lol

That's the location services indicator. It means that location services is operating.

I just opened Google Earth. Now you can see that the arrow shows on my screen too.

Arrow head has gone as have turned off location thing in settings and it is gone. Thank you for your help

Good stuff. Don't forget to turn it back on if you are using an app that requires it.
