Well, there is a workaround, but it's painful, both to do and in how huge it makes the keynote.

If you use iMovie, you can import a picture and an song. Just expand the picture clip to be the same length as the song. Export to Photos, and you can add it to the Keynote. Advance the slide or tap on the picture/video to play.

It's a lousy solution; but doable.
