Syncing iPad2 to iTunes library from PC

So my iPad2 has the iTunes icon on the desktop.

I hooked it up to my PC, which has a pretty extensive iTunes music/podcast library.

After about 90 minutes, it said all had been copied to iPad2.

When I click open the iPad2's iTunes icon, it just gives me "store" purchasing options.

It also says that it "Cannot connect to the iTunes store"?

WHERE is the entire music/podcast library I copied from the pc to the iPad2?

Why is the icon on the iPad2 "desktop" -- but it only shows this "store front" --

and NONE of the library I spent nearly 2 hours copying?

Is my pc Itunes library duplicated onto the iPad2?

That last sentence is what I'm trying to accomplish.

iTunes on the iPad is just the store, nothing else.

Music is stored under iPod and movies under Videos.
