Syncing music

I own an iphone 5 and sync my whole itunes music library to it.

I have just bought an ipad but only want to sync some songs.

How do i do this?

Have a look a this from apple on how to select certain music to sync by managing it manually. You can also go to your summary page/music tab and check off "only checked songs and videos," there the screen will open and you can check what you want and than " apply."
