Syncing non-purchased iBooks between iPad and iPhone

I've recently started using both my iPad and iPhone to read fan fiction books that I downloaded via FLAGfic. However, I can't seem to find a way to sync my bookmarks. Both my devices are running the latest IOS and only my iPhone is jailbroken. I would appreciate any help on this issue :).

From my understanding, only books purchased from the App Store (via the iBooks app) can be synced across different devices. There is no way to do what you need/want with iBooks.

However, may I suggest you take a look at the Kindle app and the Amazon Eco-system. With an Amazon account, you can use their Personal Documents service to send those books to your account. Then, you can sync across different devices. It may be worth a look...?

Are you trying to sync books or bookmarks? Safari should handle the latter. You may need to enable that in Settings.

Agree with Marilyn. I send personal docs to my Kindle account, they can live in Amazon's cloud or I can download. My bookmarks will stick across iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

The app falsely tells me I'm synched to the furthest location among devices even when it's in different places in the same book (personal doc) on different iDevices, but bookmarks work. That's with personal docs; Kindle books synch without prob for me.
