I am noticing that when taking pictures with iPad 3 the light has to be just right or pics turn out bad...colors bleed if too bright out or pics turn out grainy if light is just a bit too low. Any thoughts or advice? I am thinking it may be because the screen is soo vivid it show pic flaws more so vs other tablets......

Yeah, you pretty much would need ideal lighting conditions to take decent pics with the new iPad's camera. Though it's a big leap from the one found on the iPad 2, it uses the same CMOS 5MP found on the iPhone 4. I found that outdoor settings or a bright sunlit room will give you pretty nice pics with closer to accurate color saturation and minimal grain. I have to say that I would hardly ever use the camera though. Just too awkward for a tablet.

Sorry....how do I change the camera settings to outdoor? Many thanks

Hello ckmerc, the only setting you can make on the camera app is by enabling the grid. The iPad "camera" is a very simple basic image recorder. When you record a digital image on the iPad, you can launch another app like iPhoto and rework the image.
