Test on notification , pls reply this post

Hi I am testing on notification by email, hope some one can reply this post. So I know my setting is okay.

Since installing ios5x my auto emial notification is hit and miss. Generally, it works great after a fresh cold boot, but give it a few hours and the push notifications kinda fade away

You are so right! I don't get mine anymore at all either. No clue when it all stopped. Long time ago.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding your issue go the the Notifications tab in Settings and turn Mail on here and set your alert. You may have to scroll right to the very bottom to find it though.

Thank for your long reply. May be you mistaken me , in fact I know how to use search feature from tapatalk to look for my solution. As I need to make sure I am able to get notification first. So hope that some one can help me on this , and I will try to figure out . As I already set by myself and it does not work.

I go to setting ( beside the log out ) , I am not able to locate the notification .

When I click on notification ( on the left of my profile ) I only see inbox.

Can you please give me a little bit more information , so that I can activate it

I'm thinking that you are on your mail app, you need to go to the settings app, the grey app with cogs turning.
Go to Notifications there and turn mail On and set your alerts.

Now I understand what you are trying to do. You want to get an email when you subscribe to threads.
Okay I thought it was to do with normal emails. So you've found it anyway.
Have you subscribed to any threads? If your on the site at the top of the thread you will see some Headings. Press thread tools then press subscribe. it will then load with another page and you can set it here to get emails. Threads that you reply to will automatically subscribe you.
If on the App, press the tab top right which is a box with arrow and select subscribe, it will then ask you if you want to receive emails for it

Yes it will send an email now that I am answering your post if that's how you have set it up. I don't think it happens straight away though. Maybe someone else knows an actual timeline for this. You only need to subscribe once, to unsubscribe just press the same buttons and select unsubscribe.

I also subscript to few post , but till now I still not yet received any mail ?

No wonder some also mentioned when I post this question mention that alert thru email have stop working.
