The Apple Watch to Make its First Appearance on the Cover of a US Magazine Next Month

In the middle of October, last year, the Apple Watch made its magazine cover debut with Vogue China. And now it seems that Apple is ready to bring the Apple Watch on its first U.S. magazine cover.

Aside from the I-want-to-be-Candice quality of our new March cover, notice anything else about the photo? The Apple Watch is getting a star moment, too, as Candice is the first woman to wear one on a magazine cover in the US. With the device starting at around $349 available next month, it’s on our wishlist. The Apple Watch will make its first appearance on the cover of Self magazine, a publication focused on fitness, health, and style. The March issue of Self features Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel as the cover star appearing in exercise gear and wearing the Apple Watch Sport.

The cover debut in the US could mark the beginning of an increased promotion from Apple's ad team, as the release date is approaching fast. Apple's Apple Watch marketing has been heavily focused on fashion so far, but now it seems to be targeting fitness enthusiasts.

Apple is planning to begin Apple Watch sales in April, but a specific release date hasn't been provided.
