"The iPad or iOS file extension for magazines on iPad"

I know for "eBooks" the file extension is ".epub" and those will transfer over nicely in iTunes and do not have to use a different program to get the file on my iPad.

Now my main question is, What is the file extension for magazines for the iOS or iPad? The extension that works just like an eBook. Where the graphics are perfect and you can just swipe pages to turn them and adjust size and brightness.

Please Help!
