The Poetic slimline hardback case.

Can anybody who uses one of these cases with an iPad3 tell me if.........When the cover is closed, therefore the screen is
locked, are alert sounds disabled?
I have the locked screen alerts option turned on in general settings.
When the iPad is out of the case, I get a sound alert, when the Pad is sleeping.
Of course apologies in advance if I am overlooking the obvious.

Alerts should work just fine when in this case. I have their "strapback rigid" version, and works fine (i.e. they just use the magnets as Apple does.. nothing else unique about the case in how it interacts with the operating system).
