Totally new to the Apple world

Hi, I just purchased an iPad3 and am really a bit lost. I have a Windows background and some experience with android from my phone. I can't even type on a MAC because it is so different. I am confused by the terminology, the relationship to iTunes (never purchased anything from them) so I am going to be asking a lot of questions and not always understanding the answers. Thanks everyone.
