transferring music from my laptop/memory stick to Ipad

Hi There

I am trying to transfer some music from laptop to my ipad.

Have followed instructions to open Itunes on pc, connect cable to Ipad etc but
A) I cant find the music on my ipad

B) where would the music negotiate to on my ipad if done correctly

Normally the music need to be visible in the music player. You can check the used space indicator in Itunes to check if there is music on the device at all.
