Transferring Yahoo Contacts from PC to Ipad

I have a new Ipad, and I'm all set up to go! I tried to use it to email, and no contact information appeared. I opened my contact page, and it was blank. Only then did I realize none of my contacts had transferred to my ipad when I set it up and performed a sync. What do I need to do? Thank you ever so much.

I believe all you have to do, from what I remember is; go to your iPad settings and you'll see a mail option. From there you can add an account, you'll need your email and password for that mail account.
