J. A. Super Moderator Staff member Feb 27, 2014 #5 Open Safari on your iPad (the app, not in Settings). Open a new tab by pressing the + button at the top right. You'll find "Private" at the bottom left. You're in Private Browsing mode when the word looks like this: Tap it once to disable the feature.
