Uk bought iPAD for use in Italy

Morning fellow padders, i am proposing to buy my italian family an iPad in the UK and take the iPad to Italy. Are iPads universal and will a UK pad work in Italy? Any help very much appreciated. Ta

Should work without any problem. Mine was bought in London. Works great in Israel. It is a 3GS version, and works great with a Micro-SIM of our Local 3G Cellphone provider

thanks Peled. Good to hear this. i thought it should work, however before spending the cash in the Uk thought i would check. thanks again.
