Should be anytime now
Unfortunately it won't work on ipad 2

Usually jail breaking doesn't require you to reinstall anything. All apps, etc. stay, at least when going from un-jb to jb.

Well, the untethered jb comes today, but comex exploit got fixed, so a different one is used for all iOS devices, except iPad 2, which is not supported atm.

You can already download the jailbreak, except that it comes in an encrypted container and the password hasn't been released

Yeh was just checking it out, it's just a teaser though and the jb will be released soon, but as already mentioned it's not for the iPad 2

Correct. Ipad2 hardware is apparently the hold up.
