Up date iPad 2 to the iCloud.

Hi

Can anybody offer advice on up-dating an ipad2 to the iCloud system please?

My daughter has the iPad 2 with a lot of information in Notes and Calendar plus hundreds of photos in her photo file, including pictures copied from emails.

She is worried that if she up-dates to the iCloud she will loose some of the above.

Could anybody advise how to up-date without the loss of these files please.

Incidentally, not being as affluent as the daughter I have only an iPad 1 but when I up-dated to iCloud I lost all my photos and emails Fortunately, I had the photos backed up on the computer and managed to put back what I wanted.

I recommend going through all apps with documents, and the Photos app first to make sure you've saved everything important off the iPad. You may not lose anything, but it has happened. Also, read through this thread before starting. I may save you some headaches if things don't go as expected.
