Hi everyone .
My iPad 3 is jailbroken and I would like to erase cydia and every Data of jailbreak completely out of my iPad, because I would like to update to iOS 6.0.
And I would rreeaallyy like it to be safe as well .
So any suggestions? ( please a safe way )
Thanks for any comment .

How much time a day do you spend on your ipad?

The safest way to upgrade your iPad is to connect it to the most recent version of iTunes. After making a backup and, if iTunes has not already prompted you to, press the "check for update" button on the main Summary page. iTunes will check, see that there is an update available and, after you tell it to, it will proceed to update your iPad to iOS 6.

Once it's done, you should be good to go - running a stock iPad on iOS 6.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Marilyn

P.S. I've moved this post of yours to its own thread in the jailbreaking section. Mainly because it was off-topic in the thread you posted in.

I don't have to restore before I update?

My bad. You have to select "restore," not update for an iPad that is jail broken. If you try to run "update" - it won't work (AFAIK). Sorry for the erroneous post above.

Restore will load a "fresh" iOS 6 onto your iPad.

it doesn't have any risk of IDK ....
Ummmm....frozen screen or an error or something?

It is impossible to brick an iPad via a restore or update operation, even if the device is jailbroken first. There are plenty of safeguards built in to prevent this. Even if the process is interrupted or fails, it can be run again.

Unless there is a hardware fault with the device then you should always be able to get back to a stock device running the latest version of IOS available for it.

We have a comprehensive guide here IF you get into trouble - http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...lsafe-method-restore-current-version-ios.html

Hope that clarifies.

Do I need to have the latest versions of iTunes
