Upgraded to IOS 5 and all music and apps are gone..

I have made the IOS 5 upgrade, but before I have syncronised and transfered my purchases to iTunes.
When my iPad 1 rebooted, only the mail, photos and background were restored. I can see my apps in iTunes but how do I put them back in my iPad?
