Using a portable external drive on ipad 2 jailbroken 6.1.2

I want to watch movies from my external drive when I am away from home I have the USB camera connector what else do I need and where can I pick it up I live in nw Philly

Hi, I use the camera connection kit with a 32gb micro card with adapter through ifile. My movies are formatted to mp4.

I am also using the apple USB camera kit but not with a flash drive I am using it with my wd passport and I tried it with my wd external had and got nothing in ifile

You probably won't be able to use a drive that needs to be powered by usb. If you have a sd card format to fat32 and try that.
