I was trying to test the file size of a video on iPad 2 so I shot a 10 minute video and checked the usage in the iPad - total usage 4.3 GB. I couldn't see the usage in the Photos app though. So I deleted the video from the app to see what difference it would make to the total usage on the iPad but there was no difference after deleting the video - still 4.3 GB. I don't understand why the video didn't reflect additional data usage.
