Video out problem

I bought a audio video cable yesterday from wal mart. I've forgot the name but it was around 45 bucks. I can't get the video out to work on my apps. It works on YouTube you my photos but not on crackle or ustream. I'm wanting to buy bigumovies but not going to if my cable or video out isnt going to work. Can I get these apps to work or are they not capable of video out?
