Webcam for iPad??

Hi Guys & Gals,

I'm now the proud owner of an iPad 16gb Wifi. I'm in my 60's and am on a steep learning curve at the moment.

I have a couple of questions, but if this isn't the right place to post them I apologies in advance to all.

My questions: -

1. Is it possible to attache a webcam to my iPad so that I can use video calling on Skype to my daughter who lives in Australia.

2. Is it possible to connect Earphone and mic to the iPad for the same purpose

If the answers are yes, where would I get the hardware from?

This may be something you can ask in the hacking section. Because I don't believe there are any officially supported webcams on the iPad.

Or, many people are speculating that the iPad 2, likely due out in April, will have a built in webcam.

I read that there is a webcam in the works, suppose to be out next year, but the price is not going to be cheap.

I would love a webcam on my iPad! But if you just do audio on skype, you do not need earphones or a mic to use skype...it is very clear. If you prefer, you can get a combination earphone/mic.

Enjoy your iPad...I am 65 and love mine so much!
