We’ve been hearing about this game for quite some time now, since way back in January of this year, in fact, but now it’s finally arrived in the App Store today, so we get the chance to see if it lives up to all the hype. Action star Wesley Snipes plays the part of the game’s hero, Julius Styles, a young MIT graduate who has lost his way, who the player gets to control. Having taken a wrong turn in life, Styles has ended up working for the “Assemblyâ€, an elite circle of businessmen bent on channelling global funds into their own pockets. Styles takes on the role of “economic hitman†within the organisation, an expert in persuasion, blackmail, and assassination. His quick thinking, unorthodox methods and unmatched computer skills allow infiltration into government, businesses, and other shadowy organisations.
â€Evolving from the military special ops, security specialist backgrounds of characters I’ve played in the past, this guy was trained by the streets of today, to be the international player and dot com super spy of the future.†said Wesley Snipes, “Fall back, Nino and excuse me, Mr. Bond! I’d like you to meet Mr. Styles, Julius Styles: The International. â€
“This marriage, my vision of a hardcore action movie combined with Lapland’s implementation of a kickass video game, is going to hook you up and leave you thirsty for more,†said Wesley Snipes. “Episode 1 is just the beginning. I’ve been waiting ten years for a creative opportunity like this!â€
The game is presented in an isometric 3D style, with gameplay revolving around players gathering information, and collecting and combining items to create weapons and tools, as well as solving intricate puzzles. Looks good, especially on iPad!
