Try the one from Hashbang Productions. Their repo is:

Cydia.hbang.ws

They just updated it in December 2014; it runs on iOS 8.

Thanks - They have VLC, however, it is not the version that I am looking for. They host the most recent version that was allowed (no longer allowed) in the official app store. This is actually buggy. I'm looking for the old version that rpetri.ch/repo used to host. This version is awesome. You just put media files in \var\mobile\media and it plays them.
