Hello! I am looking to purchase an iPad very soon... and have never purchased one before, so need some help choosing.

The following is what I need it for:
I'm an interior designer, and need to have it store lots of information, colors, textures, vendors, 2-D programs... so.. it needs to have a good amount of space.
It needs to take photos
100% needs to have Retina display
Not sure if it needs Verizon capability, does that really matter, or is it just a waste of money?

The max I want to spend is $750, I would be tickled if the price was lower. Thanks!

Also.. are there any good websites that sell refurbished ones? Thanks for the help!

Hi Sara and welcome to the Forum!

I always think it best to get the largest iPad you can afford. Only the latest iPads (3 and 4) have the Retina screen and both have the front and back cameras.
I would recommend the Apple store to purchase a refurbished iPad, they come with full warranty and are a little cheaper. Cellular iPads (Verizon, AT&T) allow you to connect to the the net where ever there is coverage, so if you need to always be connected to the net, this would be the way to go. Although you could always use an iPhone, if you have a newer model to tether to for your Internet needs, mifis (portable personal routers) also are good for this and then there are many free public Wifi points from which you can connect, but be aware of security issues when using these. Cellular iPads also allow for true GPS capability. I hope this helps you.
