Hello Everyone;
I am new to this site and hope to get assistance and guidance as I have just purchased an iPad 2 and don't really know how best to use it. I do want to download books. I prefer to find sites that allow FREE downloads. Are there limitations on the file format? Can you suggest websites offering FREE content. I have been to my library and they are very restrictive. The books reside for a very limited time. I am retired and often travel on lengthy trips and would like to have a few books on the iPad that will reside until I delete them. Your advice is greatly appreciated. I am interested in both classic books (no copyright protection) and also current and popular titles. I also want to learn how to best put photos on my iPad. Can you recommend apps that work well esp. for large now. of images.

Hi there and welcome.

I have many free books from the iBooks store, I believe that there are also free books available for kindle, others may chime in with other sources allow please note that we don't want any pirate sources here, only genuine free books from credible sites.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. You can download the manual for your iPad here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for both iOS 4 and 5.
