Wifi issue: can use the internet only in safari

Hello,

My ipad2 was working fine, but suddenly I noticed that the internet doesn't work in the app store or any other application except for safari

Did anyone face this wierd problem before?!

I'm running ios 5.1.1

I think the problem will be fixed by a restore, but can I do that wihout updating the ios?!
